Session Log

While at their studies our heroes are interrupted by a wheezing old dwarf clutching a large book to his chest. Before he can utter a word he falls dead at their feet. Upon investigation the book carries the title “Kandlekeep Dekonstruktion” and appears to be bookmarked to a page that shows a series of very odd blueprints of a tower. When they report the death, the book is promptly removed from their possession.

Shortly after these events, Candlekeep is rocked by an earthquake. Many residents, the party included, gather in the Court of Air as they try to determine what has caused the earthquake. It seems the epicenter was somewhere in the Inner Ward, which also happens to be where the tower depicted in the book is located. Seeing Bookwyrm in the courtyard, the party explains their hypothesis and he puts them in charge of investigating this lead - granting them access to the otherwise restricted Inner Ward.

Making their way to the tower, the party enters the ground floor into what appears to be a library and are immediately attacked by three workers! They are quickly dispatched, with non-lethal force.
